A woman was killed by her husband hitting her with a sharp object over a domestic dispute in the Nery Dara area of Alpuri tehsil here on Tuesday.
Alpuri police station’s station house officer, Mohammad Arif Khan said that a dead body of a woman was brought to the district headquarters hospital, Alpuri here on Tuesday.
“The deceased woman’s husband stated to police that her spouse had committed suicide, however, the woman’s wounds contradicted her husband’s claims which was also revealed by the preliminary medical report that it was not suicide but a murder,” SHO emphasised.
He informed this correspondent that the woman was hit with a sharp object on the head which caused her instant death.
Following the police suspicion, police met the slain woman’s mother who stated to police that there had been a dispute between the spouses for a long time and she nominated her son-in-law, Sayed Ali and lodged the FIR at the police station, Alpuri.
SHO confirmed the FIR registration against Sayed Ali on the complainant of Khona Gula, the slain woman Shahida Bibi’s mother and began further interrogation and the suspect had also been arrested.
Meanwhile, the SHO Alpuri, Mohammad Arif Khan told The Northern Post that the second alleged perpetrator of the minor abuse case had also been arrested, and the ordeal video had gone viral on social media.
SHO said Inamullah had fled from the area after the arrest of Latifullah, another suspect in the case.
He said Inamullah had been arrested and sent behind bars and investigation into the case continued.
Both Inamullah and Latifullah had sexually raped an 11-year-old Boy in the Nery Dara area of Alpuri two months ago and they had recorded a video of the ordeal which they later viral on social media prompting police to lodge an FIR and arrest the suspects.
